August Monthly Report

Monthly Report

“Goddam it, you’ll never get the Purple Heart hiding in a foxhole! Follow me”Captain Henry P. Jim Crowe

“Day 40, and we’ve beaten the Axis off of English Island…. again…”

For the entire month of August, the Axis and Allies have been grinding it out along the French and British coastline. This is perhaps, the longest war in Heroes and Generals? Activity among the Allies, Allied HQ and here at the Allied Airborne Army has been steadily picking up now that the Summer months are waning down and soldiers return from leave.

Growth in WWII genre shooters have itself began to take a notice shift towards the mainstream. Heroes and Generals is really starting to take shape and become one of the most unique games overall by combining First-person shooter and Real-time strategy in a Massively multiplayer online system. Also on the Horizon is Enemy Front, Traction Wars, Festung Europe, IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad, Navy Fields 2 and there are probably a few more we are failing to mention. When Call of Duty, Battlefield and Medal of Honor left the WWII genre, they left a lot of fans behind. We can only feel a sense of pride that developers and gamers have raised the torch and carried WWII gaming into the future.

Members Report
The 101st Airborne is growing to be the primary group in the AAA for Heroes and Generals. To help shape the 101st AB, the Allied Airborne Army commissioned a new officer and we welcome 2LT.Rosiema into our ranks.

We are interested in growing a solid group that can handle all characters in H&G with a specific focus on the Airborne. Experience is a plus so we extend our invitation to Allied HQ members looking to get involved here at the Allied Airborne Army. Just contact LTC.Kanga if you are interested.

Our Recruit Welcome Center is starting to be a little busy and we encourage you to join us! Don’t be left behind, fill out an enlistment application now! Recruits, we encourage you to get involved and get active on TeamSpeak. Either public or private. If you have any questions – feel free to address them in the Welcome Center section.

Combat Report
The front line over the past month has been relatively stagnate with the Axis having a firm grip on Europe, and the Allies refusing entry of the British Island to the Axis.

The Mission Battles have been brutal and the AAA has done it’s bit in assistance the Allied HQ and Task Force on the battlefield. We welcome Allied players to join us on TeamSpeak.

Community Report
We mentioned in last month’s Report that we have been using Twitter and Facebook for the past several years. We have also added Tumblr to the social media mix.
