HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
“I never worry about action, only inaction.” – Winston Churchill
2012 has ended and with that – the world didn’t end and we are still here! In that case, we look forward to a great 2013 here at the Allied Airborne Army. We have seen a shift in momentum over the past year especially in these last couple months and we plan to take that momentum right into 2013. Combat is at a constant high level as we dig in all along the Western Front in Europe, battle night after night against a rather ruthless Nazi army in Heroes and Generals.
We are starting the year off by introducing new members, new recruits while others are being flocked to new ranks. Older members that haven’t been around in a while, get on TeamSpeak, we would love to have you around! At least, swing by our forums and say hi.
Please welcome to the following Recruits to the Allied Airborne Army. Take a moment and say “hi” as many of them have already introduced themselves on the forums. Recruits, we hope to see you become members. Try to make it on TeamSpeak as often as you can and if you have any questions, make sure to address them in the Recruit Training section of the forums. Your membership is based on your participation with the community and we hope that you can fit in well with our other members. New recruits will have to the end of January to become members or they will need to resubmit a recruitment application.
The following members have made rank this past month. Both Aacey and Rushthebus have been very active in Heroes and Generals.
Action this past month as been pretty intense as again the Allies in Heroes and Generals are completely out numbered in both man power and supplies. But we are still managing to hold our own and deal significant blows to the nazis. The Allied Airborne Army is a big contributor to the Allied cause with a show of force, strength, but more importantly – frustration to the Axis advance. The newest beta build for H&G is “Felber”, which was introduced in the later part of November, but not without some issues. After a weekend crash of the servers, and some serious time devoted by the developers, the game is running very smooth right now with several thousand gamers fighting in the war 24/7.
The one thing the Allies need (aside from American bodies playing the game), is leadership. This is were we ask our veteran members to step and take the lead in the game. Even if you haven’t played before. Several of our members can get you up to speed and we can quickly have you in the action of the game. Many of you have been in league matches, competitions and other forms of highly organized gaming and know what it takes. Contact us if you would like to get involved.
Starting in 2013, the Allies have began a high-command for owners of Assault Teams so they can work together to plan and coordinate large scale attacks against the Axis.
Get on our TeamSpeak any night (U.S. time) of the week! If you are new to Heroes and Generals and looking to get some experience under your belt, we have some solid players like Rushthebus and KanibaL that are very knowledgeable about Heroes and Generals.
If you are not joining us every night, try to join us every Saturday night this January at 9pm EST. Check the Calendar for other events throughout the month.
We can not do this without our members. Every penny we receive goes to keeping this website and our servers in operation. We make our payments on the 17th of every month so please try to donate before then. You may donate securely to the Allied Airborne Army through our Donations section or you can donate directly to our gaming server by clicking here.
