June Monthly Report

Monthly Report

“Confusion in battle is what pain is in childbirth – the natural order of things.”Gen. Maurice Tugwell

The roller-coaster continues as June proved to be a very active month for the Allied Airborne Army, with plenty of ups and downs, twist and turns. Our ranks have grown, paratroopers are making a public comeback this coming month in Heroes and Generals. On the other side, the campaign map and the record number of automatic weapons in the game have rendered it rather FUBAR at the moment which has many veteran players looking forward to the “Quesada” Build. VonBaer our brother from AHQ visited Normandy France for the 70th Anniversary of D-Day, and as a community we are celebrating the life of our Commanding Officer BlackViper34. It is with regret that we report the passing of our brother — father would be more appropriate. His memory and legacy will always be remembered here at the Allied Airborne Army. That is where we will begin our Report.

Better known throughout the AAA as Viper, he was a pillar in the Allied Airborne Army. Viper joined the community shortly after it’s formation in 2002 – and we were all greeted by a whole new form of hurt. Coming from the Quake genre, Viper had the edge when it came to the Quake engine based games like Medal of Honor Allied Assault and Call of Duty. He excelled at the First Person Shooter dominating round after round, leagues and matches giving him and the Allied Airbrone Army a reputation of aggressive game play. His server administrating capabilities gave the AAA a virtual home far superior to that of the average community helping to ensure our success for years to come. He was truly the backbone of this community.

Vipers life will be celebrated and anyone who knew him, knew his love for Hockey – more specifically the Chicago Blackhawks. Viper and his family established the George Spiros Jr. Memorial Hockey Scholarship as a non profit organization designed to help young aspiring hockey players that can’t otherwise afford to play and we encourage you to donate.

Viper understood the effectiveness of privacy and utilized that element in the AAA to build a strong player base for the community. Keeping a clear separation between public and members. We continue to function in this manor, and as a way to honor Viper we are taking it to another level, but that is private and just for us. 😉

Combat Report

The Allied Airborne Army’s missions have been successful, however like mentioned above, the past month was pretty much FUBAR as far as the campaign goes. We are at least looking forward to the new “Quesada” Build as it will curve the LMGs and introduce Paratroopers to the general public again. Click here to learn more about the new build. Finally, the AAA can begin focusing on building it’s Airborne force back up.
