May’s Monthly Report

Monthly Report

“I looked at my watch and it was 12:30. When I got into the doorway, I looked out into what looked like a solid wall of tracer bullets. I said to myself, ‘Len, you’re in as much trouble now as you’re ever going to be in. If you get out of this, nobody can ever do anything to you that you ever have to worry about!'”
Pvt. Leonard Griffing, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, US 101st Airborne Division

With June upon us, so is the summer offensive. Historically speaking that is, as we mark the 69th Anniversary of D-Day this June 6th. At the Allied Airborne Army, there is always a war to be fought in Heroes and Generals and this past May has been a bumpy one for the Allies. However the Allies High Command in H&G is working hard at making the Axis pay to earn their ground. With the introduction of Warfund in the new Irwin Beta Build for H&G, overall strategy in the game is going through a progressive period and we hope that with the Jefferson Build expected out soon, a lot of the wrinkles in the game will be ironed out. Players looking to get involved with the Allied Airborne Army, feel free to fill out a recruitment application. We are always looking for quality players that fit in with our community.

Combat Report: May Day!
As mentioned, it has been a rough month for the Allies. H&G introduced Warfunds which changes a lot of strategic game play which definitely didn’t favor the Airborne . So our Assault Teams had to go through a bit of change in order to keep our units resupplied. We also mentioned D-Day and the Invasion of Normandy, but unlike history, the Allies this June will be going up against overwhelming Axis numbers in both Assault Teams and man power. There is however the reward of challenging play however. The Axis do have it easy and for a lot of new players this is a confident booster. To play Axis, your really don’t even need a working knowledge of the game and you can still pat yourself on the back. The Allies on the other hand, it’s either sink or swim so you are going to need a pair of balls… or paddles.

A beacon of light for the Allies is AHC. Headquarters (HQ). A group of experience Allied players that is growing in numbers and put’s the fear of God in the enemies that face them on the battlefield. Overwhelmingly winning the majority of the missions they face, HQ forcing many Axis players to rage-quit in frustration and defeat. And we welcome the AHC here at the Allied Airborne Army. The members are welcome to use any of our resources at their disposal and you have truly become our brothers in arms.
