October Monthly Report

Monthly Report

“Success is how high you bounce when you hit the bottom.”Gen. George S. Patton

October turned out to be a rather fun month here at the Airborne. Heroes and Generals released the Spaatz Build which has finally introduced Supply Limitations to the game. Another pleasant surprise is the weapon sway effect which adds a bit of weight to the weapons giving them a more realistic feel. A lot of good elements have finally come to the game making it one of the better builds and your can read more about the changes in the change log. On the flip side, the Axis don’t seem to be enjoying the build as much because there is RTS balance and with balance, easy mode is turned off. The Allies on the other hand still fight like they are in a 3:1 deficit with ATs and the outcome has been devastating the Axis. Damn!

Member Report

Our French community has been growing since the arrival of Caps and Divishua. They have really formed into a formidable force. They have helped us bridge the language gap between our French and English members and they are winning battles on the battlefield. It’s only fitting that both have been promoted to 2LT.

This month we added 11 new members and promoted over a dozen more including two new offices from our French Community. First, please welcome our newest members to our ranks. Click here for members.

Combat Report

The Rommel Boycott of last month might have done the Allies some good. It was a sink or swim moment and a lot of them kept their heads above water and many of them accepted that we are the underdogs and have to fight like underdogs. If only the Allies could catch a break from the Axis wallet warriors and overwhelming ATs, then maybe they could score a victory. Finally, H&G release Spaatz and supply limitation. Now the supplies are more balance, the QQ’s are going the other way.

Early October gave the Allied communities time to plan for the new up coming build. When Spaatz was release, the Allies stuck to their plans – improvised where they needed too (which was a lot) and conquered the first war in 10 days. This got the monkey off the back of the Allies and helped boost the overall morale.

We are currently in the middle of the second official war of Spaatz and overall the Allies are doing very well halting large Axis concentrations up, countering and taking more territory than losing. It has been a breath of fresh air and we look forward to it continuing throughout the month of November.

The passing of BlackViper34, our Commanding Officer this summer to cancer leaves many of us at the Airborne with heavy hearts. Before he passed, Viper and his family set up the George Spiros Jr. Memorial Hockey Scholarship as a non profit organization designed to help young aspiring hockey players that can’t otherwise afford to play. We encourage you to donate as a way to help celebrate his life.
