October monthly Report

Monthly Report

“They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind.” – Air Marshal “Bomber” Harris

The Allied Airborne Army had a pretty active month this past October in both the virtual world and the real world as super storm Sandy effected several members and our own website as the storm hit the northeast of America. In the virtual world, our combat units have been digging in and fighting all over the western front in Heroes and Generals.

Sandy Report
Since super storm Sandy ravaged neighborhoods and disrupted power along the Eastern Seaboard, tens of thousands of newly homeless North easterners and hundreds of thousands more without heat will be facing winter soon. If you would like to help the victims of super storm Sandy, please check out the links below.

Combat Report
Most of combat this past month has taken place in Heroes and Generals. This First Person Shoots/Real Time Stragey game combines both elements into a very dynamic and uniquely rich game. It is however in a beta version but it is free to play with a beta key. You can get a key by simply signing up to their website and patiently waiting. They usually send out 2000 keys every couple weeks. The free to play game will give you access to the FPS part of the game as an infantry soldier, however if you would like to have assault teams, characters, and weapons than you will need to by some war bonds which profits the game’s development.

We have added a new section to the forums for H&G so that our members can work on strategy, plan attacks as well as help each other out with question and getting familiar with the game. If you are new to the game and want to be on the Allies, please contact us. The Allies need assistance as they are generally out numbered. Apparently fascism is cool in Europe again.

The AAA has 10 units and we are looking to expand to more units. If you are interested in H&G, or already have a key, units and play on the Allied side, join us and help get the most out of your assault teams with organization and strategy. We would love to have more gamers that are currently playing the game and really enjoy it. We have our own TS and we are actively playing the game.

Members Report
If you are looking to join the Allied Airborne Army, first register to the AAA and we can get you going. This next month we hope to add a few more members to our band of brothers here and we definitely encourage you to get involved.

Again this past month we have had several old members come back, say hello, joined us on TeamSpeak and the our message board. Keep it up! We love hearing from you and we look forward to gaming with you all in the future. There are so many ways to stay in contact with each other now. Follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook. Definitely swing our TeamSpeak and message board.

If you are not joining us every night, try to join us every Saturday night this November at 9pm EST. Check the Calendar for other events throughout the month.

We can not do this without our members. Every penny we receive goes to keeping this website and our servers in operation. We make our payments on the 17th of every month so please try to donate before then. You may donate securely to the Allied Airborne Army through our Donations section or you can donate directly to our gaming server by clicking here.
